Working with Emily has truly changed my life both personally and professionally. Emily’s kind voice, calm demeanor and understanding of my ADHD brain helped ease my anxiety while discussing triggering topics which gave me the confidence and momentum I needed to shift my prospective and reach my goals of making a big career shift. I absolutely loved working with her.

I have a hard time keeping up with all the busy work and studying for school. Emily taught me to plot everything in a planner. It’s good to do this because then I spread out the work each day. She also helps me create a study schedule for test and finals. When I follow this, my grades are better and that makes me feel good.

After working with Emily, I can't recommend her enough. She is not only incredibly patient but well informed, having a genuine understanding of the daily struggles of ADHD. She helped me discover solutions that I might never have thought of on my own (a constant struggle of ADHD is not seeing what's right in front of you). Working with Emily at SKIP Coaching has been an overwhelmingly positive experience.

“All my hard work has recently called me to ramp up my business. Emily gave me a lot of inspiration which has kicked me off to a massive start. She helped me learn how to prioritize and balance my family, my health and my work. My goal was to close 2 large clients in my first year, I am about to push it to 11.”

Jack has been so motivated and excited about school this year. He brings you up almost every day (“Emily said…Emily had a good idea about…” etc.). I think he finally feels he has some control over his academic life. And he really likes you. So, most of all I wanted to thank you for being out there.

Through the coaching process and Emily’s pointed questions, I’ve been able to learn how to identify what’s in the way and realize that I am in control over most of it. Emily helped me learn how to be thoughtful about the way things work for me, because it has to be my idea.

“Coaching really did help me become more aware of how I work, and I’ve been able to complete projects. I’m proud that I have the confidence with asking for help from instructors and classmates. Thank you for everything you’ve done!”

I wanted to thank you for the dopamine menu suggestion. It took some time for it to be the right tool for me, but I made one this weekend & it really helped me out!

Thank you so much for all your help this year. Working out the weekly schedule was so helpful during this hectic time. Using the project planner to break down all my work into smaller parts helped me finish both theses on time. I couldn’t have done it without your help.

Over 400 students, from 3 campuses, attended in 7 different sessions. Student comments of what they learned: “I learned how to create a schedule for my day to day life which I would use for my future life.” “I learned to organize my time better and how I’m going to use it every day. ““Skills take time and it’s important to know your tolerance.” “Manage my planning, use my time wisely especially if I have a test or a quiz coming up, I need to make sure I have study time available so I’m prepared.” “One thing that I learned today is making a schedule and planning out each week based on my classes and other priorities.”
Bronxville Adult Education Workshop – Living with ADHD
Emily was very knowledgeable about ADHD and provided excellent handouts in class that allowed us to concentrate on what she was saying. She explained things in a clear, concise manner with good examples from her work as an ADHD coach. She was an empathetic listener and answered questions in a friendly, helpful way.
